Visitor Policy
By visiting CNC, you accept our policies. You further acknowledge that CNC reserves the right to deny or revoke access to any person who CNC believes is violating our policies. Noncompliance may result in your being required to leave and being denied access to CNC in the future.
While on CNC grounds you agree to the following:
>> Last tickets are sold online at 3:30PM, and CNC property closes at 5PM daily. All guests must depart by 5PM. If you arrive at 4:30PM or later, you are welcome to explore the top level of the Discovery Center but would not be permitted to explore the grounds.
>> Refrain from any distracting or unsafe behavior that interferes with other visitors, staff, volunteers, or wildlife.
>> Refrain from any violation of CNC procedures or policies, including staff requests
>> Refrain from any acts or conduct in violation of federal, state, or local laws, ordinances, or regulation
Respect for People
>> CNC does not allow threatening, insulting or harassing behavior, or abusive language. This includes behavior and/or speech based on, but not limited to race, color, national origin, religion, gender, disability, age, citizenship status, ethnicity, veteran status, gender expression, gender identity, or sexual orientation.
>> No loud, disruptive behavior. Refrain from the use of profanity or other offensive language.
>> CNC is a smoke-free facility.
>> No outside alcohol is permitted on CNC property.
>> No weapons of any kind are permitted on CNC property.
>> Bicycle parking is available in our parking lot, but bikes, scooters, skateboards and skates are not permitted on CNC grounds.
>> Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Respect for Wildlife
>> Please comply with all fences, barriers and posted signs. Do not enter animal habitats, climb fences, feed animals, or toss items into enclosures.
>> Feeding wild animals can result in health problems and create behavior issues. Please do not feed wild animals on CNC property.
>> Do not harm or harass any CNC animals or wildlife.
>> Pets are not allowed on the property, except for service animals.
Respect for Nature
>> All plants and animals found on CNC property are protected. Collection and removal are not allowed.
>> Fishing and swimming are not allowed in CNC ponds or from the CNC River Boardwalk Trail.
>> For your safety and to reduce your impact on our natural areas and gardens, please stay on marked paths.
>> Trash cans and recycling containers are located throughout the property. Please make sure all waste is properly disposed of.
>> Balloons and confetti are not permitted on CNC property.
>> We embrace our role as stewards of the Chattahoochee River and its watershed. We prioritize our commitment to connecting people with nature. We value the role that education, science and culture play in cultivating a connection to the natural world. We create an environment of mutual respect for people, wildlife and nature so that we may provide a safe and inclusive experience for all.
