high school leadership in training (LIT)
Leadership & Naturalist Training Program
The LIT program provides a unique opportunity for high school students entering 10th and 11th grade to enjoy their summer in a fun camp setting, while getting the opportunity to build on their leadership skills through hands on experiences.
>> Are you in high school and enjoy working with elementary-aged children or want a career with kids?
>> Do you enjoy being outdoors?
>> Do you enjoy canoeing or have a desire to learn?
>> Do you think you many want to be a Camp Counselor one day?
If so, the LIT program may be a good fit for you this summer!
LITs are in charge of manning two of our three ponds, where they will help campers learn how to canoe. LITs will also get the chance to engage in peer team building activities, leadership exercises and gain techniques on working with children. This program also gives them a chance to put these skills to use by helping our counselors with their groups of campers.
