In June 2009, a new era will begin at the Chattahoochee Nature Center with
the opening of the new LEED Certified Discovery Center. This state of the art
facility will tell the story of the Chattahoochee River, its forest and wetlands,
from its beginnings in North Georgia through to Columbus.
Like many of you, our Kingfisher is very excited about the new Discovery Center
and Lakeside Pavilion that are opening on the CNC grounds.
Our goal is to sell 75 pavers by May 1, 2009.
For every 5 pavers sold, a new leaf will appear. Once our tree is full of
beautiful leaves, our Kingfisher will fly gracefully above the Chattahoochee
River to perch in his new happy home, all thanks to your support!
Many of our supporters have already taken the opportunity to permanently inscribe
their name or that of loved ones by purchasing a personal engraved one-foot square
paver for the plaza entrance in front of the New Discovery Center.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to link your name, family, or your
company’s name permanently with the Nature Center. These pavers will be
viewed by all who enter the new facilities, and will become a public testimonial
to all who attend of your support for the important work we do for the community.
The cost for a paver is $1,000, and this amount is fully tax-deductible as
a charitable contribution. To have your paver in place for our exciting Grand
Opening event, we will need your commitment by May 1, 2009. You can inscribe
up to 30 characters per paver, which is plenty of room to make you mark.
