Come and explore the Chattahoochee Nature Center with your class for a fun-filled educational experience your students won't soon forget! Our 127-acre classroom and experienced staff can spark the spirit of discovery in your students. A CNC education program is considered a Time on Task activity as designated by the Georgia Department of Education for an extension of in-school curriculum. Each program is hands-on, grade-level appropriate, interdisciplinary and GPS correlated.

Can't make the trip to visit us? No problem! Book an Outreach Program and we will bring the learning and fun right into your classroom! Either way, a CNC naturalist will lead your class on a great day of exploration.

Educational programming is offered at the CNC Monday through Friday throughout the year. Programs are conducted rain or shine, with equivalent programming indoors in case of inclement weather. Please dress appropriately to be outdoors.

Swift School Sells Lemonade to Raise Money for CNC!

3rd Graders from the Swift School worked hard this summer selling lemonade to generate funds to support the Chattahoochee Nature Center. They visited the new Discovery Center to present their heartfelt donation to CNC! The students wanted to donate the money to the Chattahoochee Nature Center because of their interest in animals and because they wanted to help a local organization.

Students in Mrs. Nimer & Mrs. Lane’s second and third grade classes sold Limer Lemonade to classes during lunch one day the last week of school. This project was the culmination of an economics unit and an animal unit where they researched different animals and made presentations. Each student had an important role in selling the lemonade, collecting the money, and totaling the proceeds.
