Our Staff provides a well-supervised environment for campers to grow and always has the safety of your child on their mind. We are constantly teaching, observing, and supervising our campers. We work hard at focusing on every child's individual needs and, at the same time, facilitating a healthy and dynamic group experience.
Our staff to camper ratio is 1:6. Senior counselors have completed a minimum of one year of college and have backgrounds in child care, education and/or natural science. Junior counselors are recent high school graduates who have experience working with children and are pursuing work in environmental studies. Each staff member is carefully interviewed and passes a nation-wide criminal background check. Our seven-day staff training includes experiential workshops, lessons from professionals, First Aid and CPR.
At the beginning of each summer we post biographical statements for all of our camp staff. We hope you enjoy learning about the people guiding and supervising your children.
If you are interested in more information on becoming a camp staff member, please download the 2010 Staff Application.
Please note: Applications for summer 2010 are accepted at any time beginning December 15th, 2009. Interviews begin in February of 2010. Please do no expect to hear back from us until then.
